Yaoki International Consulting was founded with one purpose — to provide cross-border businesses with a long-term, dependable single point of contact. This page outlines our philosophy, working principles, and company information.
YAOKI — derived from the Japanese phrase "the sun shines, and a new door opens" — means "light arrives, and a new door is unlocked." We chose this name because the nature of cross-border business is often exactly this — in unfamiliar territory, someone needs to help open the very first door.
This website focuses on a single service line: Kumamoto real estate + manufacturer landing. We don't aim to make this work expansive; we aim to make it clear.
Kumamoto has been thrust back into the spotlight by TSMC, but for Taiwanese manufacturers setting up here and investors allocating into local real estate — the real need is not "tell me how hot Kumamoto is," but rather "what exactly can you do for me on the ground, how granular is the work, and where are the boundaries." This website is our answer to that question.
We state plainly what we can and cannot do — legal, tax, and real estate transactions are signed off by partnered local professionals. Yaoki handles coordination and administration.
We do not guarantee subsidy approval, financing approval, or investment returns. We are transparent about which decisions rest with the relevant authorities.
From your first email through long-term post-landing management, you work with the same point of contact throughout. No relay between multiple specialists on your end.
A weekly progress brief — status, expected timeline, and required inputs from your side clearly marked. You should never have to chase us for an update.
The four positions below describe how Yaoki sees this work — more than the service menu itself, these probably explain the difference you'll feel when working with us.
The real bottleneck in cross-border collaboration is not "can it be done," but "does the right information reach the right person at the right time." Yaoki's job is to make that relay run smoothly — what's needed is not polished decks, but real forward motion.
The attention from TSMC is a short-term dividend, but Kumamoto's value to enterprises and investors is structurally long-term — population trends turning positive, an industrial cluster forming, civic infrastructure steadily improving. We choose to work with clients who think in decades.
We are not a licensed-realtor firm, a law firm, or a tax accountancy. Yaoki's role is the cross-border front-end bridge — engaging genuine local professionals, minimising communication and administrative friction, and ensuring there is no translation gap between client and local expert.
For unsuitable properties, unrealistic timelines, and subsidy applications that will not pass — we will say so directly. In the short term it can look like "turning down business"; in the long term it builds the kind of trust that brings client referrals. That is the only metric we care about.
Please share a brief outline of your needs and background. A consultant will get back to you within 48 hours to arrange an online or on-site briefing. The first consultation is complimentary, and all information is handled under NDA.
